This case is more egregious and frankly scary.

The funds were in the city’s bank account, and the Trump administration went into that bank account and took the money back without telling the city.

So the blue states don’t have a National Guard to respond?

… and we’re going to get those hard drives back, right? And figure out what they did with that data, right?

When your reasons for dismissal is being a black woman, you have a pretty good case.

Generally that power is financial. The government can’t directly tell private institutions like NYU what to do.

But they can, and do, take away or withhold government funds for grants and research.

Buuuut … all that is held up right now. And if Trump has his way, that’s all gone regardless.

So I’m guessing this is a classic case of making decisions by the university based on old thinking.

And lets also not forget he repeatedly claimed he knew nothing about Project 2025. Not the policies. Not the people behind it.

Now he’s claiming a mandate to execute the plan he denied having any knowledge of.

It’s amazing how he always seems to have “the answer” AFTER something bad happens. But never the foresight to make changes before tragedy strikes.

Here to remind everybody that the LA Times is one of the publications that wouldn’t let their editorial board endorse Harris because its billionaire owner wanted to cozy up to Trump.

To be fair, I think it always has been. Think about the unimaginable wealth the Catholic Church has amassed over the past couple of centuries.

I saw something recently that the Trinity Church in New York by itself has like $7 billion in assets.

Might be a bit of a contrarian take, but at this point I think Trump needs to have a gigantic fuck up to drive people to the streets in anger, South Korea style. One of those ‘we need our medicine before we can get better’ moments.

For some reason tens of millions of people buy his “'I’m the greatest - only I can save you - they’re evil and stupid” rhetoric.

So it’s going to take a truly epic fuck up that he can’t bullshit his way out of - and that the media can’t ignore - for people to finally see that him and his cronies are all gigantic pieces of shit.

As somebody who tends to be a ‘glass half full’ kind of guy, I really do hope that Trump goes too far and does something like the above causing people to snap out of whatever trance led them to follow him in the first place.
