You know what? I actually just saw her perform over the summer and she is still Queen status.
Better artist anyhow. You right!

Maaaaannnn, all these people in here are clowning on her for her shitty music. But “Before He Cheats” was my way to own my “Drunk Basic White Lady” status at Karaoke. Now I can’t even be a stereotype anymore.
Jokes aside, fuck you Carrie Underwood. I was a fan in my youth and grew out of your music, but there was still two or three songs I got good nostalgia vibes from. Not anymore!
Ugh I hate when people I’ve supported turns out to be monsters.
That lady wishes she could be known for something like Leroy Jenkins.
Nah, she’s one of those family youtubers with a bunch of children, and they came under fire recently because it was found out that they live in a one bedroom apartment and her and her fiance share the bedroom while her kids slept on mattresses in the kitchen.
Ah, the Resilient Jenkins approach.
I was just telling my husband that I would hate this because we rescue dogs and that would be one more surface to vacuum, but that this would be really cute in a no pet AirBnB for some quirky appeal.
That freezer water/meat scent comment made me second guess that though 🤮
Bro, you asked a “difficult question”, and I gave an IRL answer.
You said “Is there a line drawn for abortion?”
I said “No, nor should there be, this is why.”
I expounded on why there shouldnt be a line. Im not sure what youre failing to grasp here.
You’re telling on yourself rn. You obviously have zero empathy for couples/women in an intensely tragic situation.
There isnt a line at this time, nor should there be, for the reasons that Ive stated.
Its absolutely inhumane to expect a woman to navigate an arbitrary line when they have to make one of the worlds most difficult decisions, just because it makes some other people feel better.
No one is advocating for abortions at 8 months unless the women’s (or fetus’) life is in some kind of danger.
Why on earth would a woman put up with the absolute hell that is pregnancy for 8 months, and then just wake up one day and decide “Meh, nvm, Im not actually all that into it” completely unprompted?
It makes no sense and it doesn’t happen. At 8 months, numerous appointments have happened, a nursery of some kind has been put together, baby showers have been had, names have been picked out, vices of all kinds have been foregone (not just alcohol/smoking, modern women give up stuff like lunchmeats/fish/coffee) etc.
If a woman is getting an abortion at 8 months, something went very fucking wrong, and it’s a tragedy all around, so we shouldn’t add the stress of navigating legislation on top of all that.
Taking a moment to shout out Elevated Access. Its a charity full of private pilots and support staff who started gathering in response after RvW was repealed, in an effort to provide women with free flights from red states to blue states. I donated a hefty amount (for me) after we sold our house.
Now theyve expanded their services to trans people seeking care as well!
Love them, sad that they have to exist, but organizations like them give me hope for the future. It reminds me that no matter how bad things get, people will keep fighting.
I fucking wish every state could. Texas law makes it pretty much impossible to get abortion access on the ballot. Abbott and crew knew exactly what they were kicking off when they signed their “heartbeat bill” pre RvW reversal. They knew they were laying thw groundwork to turn women into brood mares.
Our ballot initiatives need to come from our legislature itself, and then the voters get to say “Yeah I like that”, or “Nah not about it”.
“For Texans to gain a direct say in changing these policies, the GOP-run Texas Legislature would need to pass a proposed constitutional amendment, which voters would then need to approve. (This yay-or-nay procedure is the only statewide policy-making power that regular Texans currently enjoy; voters weighed in on 14 such proposals from the Legislature Tuesday). One reason the Lege doesn’t want to give voters the initiative is fairly obvious: It would mean relinquishing some power—and giving interest groups a way to pass laws without lining elected officials’ pockets.”

As someone currently serving, it fucking boggles my mind that anyone who has ever served could be in favor of the Republican party. Even without Project 2025 threatening veteran benefits.
So many of us have been to actual locations where the Church has a stranglehold on the government/is the government. My husband has stories from Afghanistan. I went to Qatar, which, is a “progressive” middle eastern country. I could wear tshirts and knee length shorts, but I was also not allowed to ride in an elevator with the opposite sex, and I was heavily questioned when I tried to buy cigarettes until a male coworker intervened and assured that I could. Not to mention the FUCKING INSANE wealth disparity. Palaces gilded in gold for the government/rich/churches and literal shacks made out of whatever material could be cobbled together in the rural areas outside of Doha.
Why the fuck would anyone who has seen that first hand want to support anything that could even remotely resemble a world like that?
Idk where you are in Texas, but it’s been pretty mild here in South-Central. Humid af though due to all the unusual rain, but it’s been keeping the actual temp below 100 for most of it.
I read this in Grog’s voice and I high key love it. The idea of him describing “surface level themes such as nationalism” is hilarious.
And the title comment is the icing on the cake.
Well he needed to veto something yesterday, and it certainly wasn’t going to be the bill that now fundamentally prevents Floridians from holding their elected officials accountable when they suspect ethics violations: https://flaglerlive.com/integrity-florida-veto/#gsc.tab=0
Bruh. That is literally a scenario I’d expect to see laid out in an email message in Cyberpunk 2077. Or the background for a Cyberpsycho story.
How fucking dystopian.
I do contemplate the merits of having a home phone with the ringer perpetually on silent, and that being the only number I give out to places like Spirit Halloween whereas family/friends get the cell.
Honestly, I think this could be true. There’s definitely something to be said about willingly putting yourself in a vulnerable position with someone you feel safe with, for the sole purpose of their pleasure and nothing else. However, there’s definitely a balance. If my husband demanded blow jobs every day or something, I’d probably get the “ick” from him and not want to do it. But since he’s never been the one to be demanding about anything sexual, I do actually love making him feel good like that.
Sometimes I’ll make it hella silly and we’ll be sitting on the couch and I’ll just say something stupid like “GO GET ON THE BED KING, ITS TIME TO GET YOUR DICK SUCKED!” And he’ll roll his eyes and blush but I also see the corner of his mouth quirk into a small smile and I know he’s just like “She’s thinking of me.” And it gives me all the warm fuzzies. I also saw a meme once that said “LEMME STRESS EAT THAT DICK”, and that’s one that I’ve whipped out a time or two that makes him snort. Yeah, I’m goofy, not every time, but sometimes, because we’ve been married for 14 years this year and I just like to see him grin.
That being said, I also fucking love when he wants to take care of my needs out of nowhere too. There’s something amazing about just knowing someone is invested in your pleasure.
Gross! I just looked him up! He legit said in black and white “I do not support abortion however we cannot have an outright ban”, and still got the House DNC to back him up?! He only supports the rape/incest/risk to mother - no support for women not in a financial position to raise a child!
Ugh, man, sometimes I get really optimistic about Texas pulling its head out of its ass, but more often than not I’m reminded as to why that’s just simple copium as someone stuck here.
Aight, I said I got a zero, and my husband says we both have one. So help me settle this riveting dinner discussion we’re having:
