First, lol. Nobody asked this person to be their personal savior. What a galactic ego. Good thing by reading this rant you can tell he learned absolutely nothing.

Also, I think this is a great example of someone confidently misappropriating therapy speak in only the way a certified narcissist can. Probably.

Grad school wreeeecked my finances. I went into it knowing that if it didn’t pass my boards I’d be ruined. And in the US all that takes is one medical issue practically. I just paid everything off at 38. Still renting 🥲

I’ve been in the field since 2019, and I’ve never once yeeted a child or felt the urge to. The real truth is it is a field that you need the correct temperament for. The only thing I dislike about my day is the obnoxious adults and their drama.

It is fine and good to ask questions. Any decent teacher wants you to ask clarifying questions. Pretending otherwise is really dishonest.

Yea, you will find good and bad teachers. I suspect it’s much harder to find good teachers in areas where the profession has been vilified by people/posts like these, where books and ideas are being banned, incomes are hilariously low, and thoughts are being outright policed. In those places you’ve almost certainly seen a brain drain.

Ultimately a lot of us could be making money elsewhere, but we like what we do.

I would be more wary of someone vilifying the accumulation of knowledge and those who want to share it.

I have become worried I’ll need to defend myself against violent republicans because they are always talking about and actively hurting others.

We fund them. And I wish we would stop.

I don’t typically talk about politics at work anyway. They just want to be hateful all they want without anyone contracting them.

It’s a hard enough profession to begin with, especially in Florida. The parent has zero self-reflection. I feel so bad for the teacher, scared to leave their home. But I don’t blame them. The parent is absolutely unhinged.

Yeah. Can’t imagine why women are being more selective of their male partners at all. This is nightmare fuel.

The tapioca…I weirdly like it. Except I choke on it. I love the tea itself. I don’t love choking on it, but I forget the tapioca is in there half the time.

Behavior therapy

My field has a shortage but it’s also hell on earth to train into. Okay money if you can pass the boards after years of suffering through the training.

I saved up a bunch of shows and waited all year to binge in one month over the summer and cancel.

What is to opt into? It’s barely affordable to live.
