How does that work though? Sedimentary rocks formed in the last 100 years must be way deeper than any of the soil that could be affected by the atmosphere?
Or am I overthinking this and you’re saying that there’s an indicator in recent soil deposits that correlates to radioactive testing.

The problem is that the documents belonged to the government and were not returned upon multiple requests. Therefore, even if the documents were declassified, which they were not, the same charges could still be brought against him.

You could probably get a 2nd mortgage for a project like that but if you aren’t familiar with them then you should speak to a financial advisor (one that has a fiduciary duty to you). This may allow you to keep your existing mortgage and rate on the first loan and only pay the higher rate on the 2nd.

Do you have economic data to show that the EU rules caused, or likely caused, the price increases?

Property can be “taken” by the government, this sometimes happens when zoning laws change. For example, if the zoning of the property was changed from residential to agricultural. Then the owner could argue that the value of the property was “taken” by by the government and they would likely win the case. Regardless of if the owner was a landlord or the owner of a vacant lot.
To be clear, I’m not commenting on the original issue, but intend to only provide information about the laws related to this issue.

I’m asking because I don’t understand, but do agree with everything else that you’re saying.

That’s why some of those states require insulation improvements before other rebates can be taken. Sometimes they also heavily subsidize the costs of improving the insulation.
Once the structure is properly insulated, then the best option between heat pumps and solar depends on the cost of electricity, as you noted.
Brokkr@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Trump can delay paying full E. Jean Carroll damages until after appeal: report171·1 year agoThe times article, which the Hill article is just rephrasing:
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/26/nyregion/trump-carroll-pay-83-million.html?smid=url-share
I realize there maybe a pay wall for some, but I didn’t have an issue.
The Hill article also misleads by saying that he won’t have to pay. They mean that Carroll may not get paid until the appeals are finished. However, Trump will have to pay a deposit to the court or secure a bond while appeals are pending, so he will have to pay someone for now, but that might not be Carroll yet.

If someone is benefiting then someone else must be suffering. Therefore, if they don’t get an immediate benefit from it, they must be the ones who are suffering so it must be bad.

The state executed its right to select their electors. Congress has the power to remove the disability if supported by 2/3rds.
They are arguing that since they didn’t impose the disability that the State overstepped their rights. This is not how the 14th was written.

I would prefer a society that favors humility more and therefore appreciate this administration’s style, but it seems that a lack of hubris is now considered a fault in the public eye, on both sides of the aisle.
Well yeah, that’s basically what the headline says.
In this administration, having committed fraud is a skill that you list at the top of your resume.
