I guarantee as that piece of shit bled out on the sidewalk, the words “why me?” didn’t cross his minds. He knew what he did to deserve it. He did deserve it, as do countless other greedy mother fuckers who are ruining the world for personal gain.
He’s an enemy to the entire system. He’s never going to get off. Hopefully he can at least serve as an inspiration for other heroes regarding what needs to be done to keep fighting the system.
