I don’t know… I had a guy doing some landscape work for me and despite not engaging him he kept dropping comments about how great Trump was and how excited he was that he had just been reelected. Eventually he started asking directed questions and while I kept my answers honest and short, (“I think he is a terrible person by all metrics, including the 4 years he previously spent fucking things up, and anyone who voted for him is a fool at best and a psycho at worst”) he kept driving home how great Trump was and how this will really save our country.

He eventually asked me where I get my news and I told him, and he said “see I don’t trust any of those guys anymore, I like to get my news from various sources, I’m actually listening to a lot of Russian news these days.”

I asked him if he knew Russian and he said no, and asked him who the target audience might be for those news outlet (he had asked about who my news sources were catering too), but he didn’t seem to catch on.

Also fun fact we are in Canada facepalm.

He didn’t like talking much about Canadian politics, I think because I had answers to most of his really dumb “questions”, whereas I wasn’t listening to 10 hours of Russian propaganda at the time so didn’t know all the angles he was using about how smart Trump’s picks were and how Harris was the literal devil.

It baffles me that in this day in 2025, with hundreds of data points being reported hourly, that we can’t look at the obvious preferential treatment fascists get from their cop buddies. Had that been a Free Palestine protest and some racist nutjob showed up to harrass them, the cops would have cleared the bridge and arrested a handful of the protestors, MAYBE one of the nutjobs IF they were REALLY pushing it. Then they’d find a reason why that bridge can’t be used for protesting, release the nutjob with a “stern” warning and rake all the protestors across the coals with any minor “disturbing the peace” type charges so they have a record for next time.

Is that the case? I remember in the mid 90’s scrolling through each entry, usually the urban legends and spooky sections, reading late into the night, occasionally shitting myself because every 15th page had sound effects or midi music.

Over the last 5 or so years I’ve watched people claim it isn’t accurate and can’t be trusted anymore, but the people claiming that were always… Well…idiots. Clearly just wanted to chose their own facts.

I’d love to know what she was denied. While I’m guessing it’s regular bullshit if it was something serious then it’s the health insurance company that is threatening her and doing her harm.

Somebody paid for that number (not the spoofed number, they actually had to have one to be connected to the lines right?). How can spoofing happen without the carrier knowing/enabling? Your carrier used their lines to deliver it to you. How is this not trackable?

Student wants to have a republican club, at a Historically black university. In order to be recognised officially by the uni you need a staff member with 3 years at the uni to sign of/endorse your club. She has emailed at least 2 faculty and both have declined. She does not say how many she has reached out to or in what way. Everyone should feel so sad for this poor woman who just wants to be heard!

No I kidd. She’s a whiner and an idiot looking for attention. She says she has met with 3 other students a few times unofficially, yet the minimum to be recognised officially as a group is 10. So even if she could get a sign off by a faculty, she doesn’t have enough people interested in her garbage to qualify anyways (my soul brightens just slightly at this thought)
