It’s quite remarkable how economically m ignorant a large section of America is. Supply and demand is the easiest model to understand and yet these voters have been positioned to work against their own best interest at a basic economic level.

Now compare that to pigs and cows and graph it over the years. Are they higher or lower on factory farms?

Some quick search shows pigs have a higher fatality rate, around twice as high and cattle have a much lower rate, around one sixth.

I’m sure a journalist could dig deeper and get some decent numbers since the industry tracks this stuff closely. This article is unfortunately not journalism. It has a bias and agenda. Give me the facts and let me draw my own conclusions, please.

It’s is possible to understand the right and not be pulled right.

The people who are pulled, are pulled because they have something in them that resonated with the right’s hate filled ideology.

The ideology isn’t that compelling and the right wing voters are not victims. They are all active participants in the spread of hated.

They see themselves as victims, their ideology is based in their own imagined victimhood. It is foolish to actually except their victimhood, that is their ideology tugging on you.

The number of people on the right who think the left are the child molestors is at least 23%. They literally think we’re Santanist worshiping pedophiles. The number of which are projecting their own pedophilia tendencies is non-zero.

I think this will be the long term impact.

Customers have been pushed to discover alternatives and are unlikely to return for reasons beside price and quality.

For example, there are sit down restaurants near me that haven’t raised their prices or have barely done so and are now cheaper than McDonald’s.

The fact that local one offs haven’t needed to raise prices signals to me that a large multinational company did not need to either. This adds a fuck off and die factor to my future purchasing decisions. I am not a price conscious customer but I take being gouged personally.
