So, as usual they use nice and plausible sounding words, but the end of the matter is that someone needs his decrees to be above (judgement against) the law…
Slowly taking away local judges’ (and states) rights to review nationwide law and only rule on local matters while the king decides is a callback to the middle ages.
So it’s a bit of a catch22 situation… Shutdown the government by blocking the new CR or have the government demolished by accepting the new CR …
But the government will get derailed regardless.
The one thing that seems to be overlooked is that the Democrats are supposed to give opposition/resistance to the Republican plans, which does mean blocking a bad new proposal …
If it were up to me I’d use whatever media I can find and prior to the vote just loudly announce being against the new regulations, so just pre-empt republican fingerpoiting and take the sting out of their shutdown accusations…
So, how many in the government are called Gaylord? Will they be detained and forced to give up their name? Mandatory change to Petey?
I guess there’s also a Gaylord street and monument here and there?
What I find interesting yet distressing is that no one asks “WHY?”
What does an unelected outsider have to gain from getting access to SOURCE CODE of the US payment system (not just a running pc in the payment network, no, actual code is bring changed)
Why? Why demand code access and what is being changed in the dark hours of the night when there is little oversight?
And no; “because transgenders” is not an acceptable answer!
BTW… expect fully encrypted code where possible so no one else besides Musk can read it … think of the lasting repercussions of that … it’s a malware bomb on the governmental payment system.

Thank you for elaborating on the backstory, seems I did not know half of the past of the case.
Tried a short google but there was no old in depth information about the case back then.
All in all it is at least a strange thing that the people around him thought it was a good idea for him to attend the olympics and enabled him to do it.
I am not sure where you got the torture for days from, there was none of that mentioned in the case, nor what he was sentenced for.
This is a bit of an interesting conundrum …
Granted, I do not know the details of the crime for which he plead guilty and was sentenced. Was it a violent rape? Or was it a concensual get together but she was far to young and he was slapped hard for it? Now I don’t condone it either way but it might give nuance to how he feels about it.
On one side, he, and society overall see it as he served his sentence (not all of it but that is not his fault) and is rehabilitated, he made changes to his life after that and made sure he is not near minors alone again, now even has a family of his own.
But, I really think it’s wrong to think rehabilitation means you can stand on a podium for admiration, or be in a place that strives for excellence in rhe public eye.
This is where he and the people around him should have realized that, no, no matter how good he is in his sport, he should just not be a competitor in the olympics as a shining example of greatness.
Rehabilitation means to be allowed back into society, in a menial job out of view and not in a spotlight of any kind.
It is definitely not a full reset on your life and you can do whatever, thinking people mostly forgot what you did.
So the bullying boo’s are quite justified imo and he should have expected this backlash because he sought the spotlight and admiration for his greatness in sport. And it shows he thought it a deserved thing for his ego following the years of hardship he went through after making a big mistake when he was young.
Not sure what kind of morals those are, but they definitely do not belong to a truely civilized society.

Yes, please, pretty please, with a cherry on top, lift my gag order so I can lay out “wishes” that should happen to the mean unfair people that got me convicted.
But then when something happens I get to loudly say “I don’t believe my people did this!”
He’ll start a war, internally or externally and use that as an excuse to block elections. Probably takes Zelenski as an example, no elections during wartime…
Or he’ll do a Putin, all election preparations go into a blender, real opponents are disqualified for arbitrary reasons, force his own name on the ballot then declare himself a winner.
Or… as he keeps throwing around, make sure there is voter fraud, hide it 'till it leaks then just proclaim the win/fraudulent elections and stay in power.
