We are so lucky nobody’s decided to test our conventional warfare capability (yet).
Trump is very obviously actively gutting it.

Turns out if you call all cops bastards enough, the ones who aren’t just leave or don’t sign up in the first place because they don’t want to be hated, leaving only those who don’t mind or enjoy the hate.
Eventually the actual percentage will hit 100%.

Click/engagement-bait.

His logic is based in the notion that Party must be placed above Country or Principles.
… which is insane, and arguably exactly how the worst governments in history got so bad.

Honestly I forgot to block you and closed the tab because I was multi-tasking, but what gave you the impression I was being hostile???
Not to say it’s impossible to read hostile intent in neutral text, because it’s super common, but… I just don’t see it.

It’s not a wildly inaccurate accusation that sometimes people who agree do a bit of circlejerking and I can see that angle of what I said if you want to be a bit nasty; I just figured you and anyone else reading the thread would be interested in the fact that what you said is a well-documented phenomenon with a name and Wikipedia page and everything.
Between your first comment that I replied to and your expressed irritation with friendly banter that irritates me in turn, I’ll do us both a favor and go ahead and make it so we can never bother each other again.

… are you insulting someone for agreeing with you? That’s pretty goofy.

In other words, Labeling Theory.

I totally get that. It’s certainly why I’m not doing more.
But “let’s not oppose them because they want opposition” is playing more into their hands than opposing them is. I get it’s a Lose-lose but let’s not go for the Lose because we don’t want to lose.

“We should wait until it is too late. That will be the perfect time to act. Just a little longer…”
Okay, if you say so. Again, accidental or intentional PsyOp.

I see this sentiment a little more frequently than I see the following that I’ll paraphrase:
“They’re doing this to egg on a response [so we should not give them what they want by pushing back]” is an accidental or intentional PsyOp campaign.
If your opponent threatens to fight you if you fight back, you would choose to surrender before the fight begins?
It’s an incredibly effective PsyOp when arguably the largest downside of anti-MAGA people is their rampant apathy, and that sentiment is like gasoline to a fire. “Oh, the enlightened response is to stay home like I did in 2024? Sick.”

What confuses me about this administration is that they seem to be aiming to make any political belief or action that does not support them worthy of a lengthy prison sentence.
… but [REDACTED] is also a lengthy prison sentence. So they’ve removed the incentive to not [REDACTED].
In other words… why design a system where your opponents have nothing to lose? They will be pushed towards acting like they have nothing to lose.

Frankly, I very much believe this is a reading issue more than a writing issue, but I do agree the solution is “give it another pass.”
Right now we have a data set of 1/1 that had issues comprehending what I meant. When both sides of that number tick up, we can talk about the data tending towards that it was poorly written.

Wait, being directly cited as not being akin to the three states I listed is a bad thing?
I couldn’t disagree more.
Don’t let your kids wander into the wilderness unattended and they won’t get preyed upon.

If Rhodesia, the Confederate States of America, and the Third Reich can live forever in the hearts of the far right, PizzaKentuckyBell can live forever in mine.
Sorry but I don’t have time to waste on people who start a comment with
(apart from the obvious - calling them out for their bad-faith tactics)
In the future, make comments of substance rather than waste time with “I disagree and you are dumb.”
