I found myself going to my mom’s place every day for dinner for a week and taking leftovers home. Now she’s just automatically freezing portions for me. She knows my ass is BROKE

My biggest issue rn is credit card debt. My dog needed multiple surgeries and my car needed fixed. I have 2 maxed out cards and no interest until November. It’s only like 6k to pay off, but it’s still overwhelming because I’ve never had to deal with this type of thing before. I think I can get it all paid off before November, but it’s still a daunting task.

Fuckin good. I got to a UPMC facility for my lupus treatment and I’m always terrified of catching something while I’m there, despite me masking up. Glad everyone had to do it. I’m severely immunocompromised, so if I get sick, it could get so bad that I could just die.

My grandma killed herself by smoking for 60 years. Got stage 4 lung cancer and relied on my mom for 24 hour care for a year before she finally kicked the bucket. I feel no pity for her and I wasn’t even sad when she died. She was an awful woman who used everyone around her until literally the day she died. Played the victim in situations she put herself in and expected others (my mom) to bail her out.

I experience this almost daily. Gotta love a high stress job and chronic pain/illness.

I appreciate the giants. I’m very short and need help reaching things regularly. If I was one inch shorter, I’d be considered a little person legally. At least here in the US. I’m 4’11 🥲

I mean they don’t get actually pissed, it just inconveniences others but they understand that people get sick. I try to just work from home if I can if I’m sick. We plan on hiring more people when we move to our bigger office in the spring, so hopefully we won’t be short staffed again.
