Hey now, that’s disrespectful to Neanderthals. Some scientists actually believe the Neanderthals were actually stronger and smarter than homo sapiens. But they were less social, and formed smaller tribes that were easy for the larger homo sapien tribes to pick off and enslave.
The best I could tell from the article was that all he was doing was essentially lobbying foriegn countries to tailor their responses so that they hurt california less than other states. I can’t see any law blocking that. From what I could tell he wasn’t even offering anything real in exchange.
Well in fairness, he seems to have made several companies while in high school. He was probably the only employee, but admittedly I sure didn’t have that kind of giva shit in High School. And anyway, the range of experience or knowledge needed to be “senior” in tech is absurdly large. 4 years in the work force isn’t uncommon to get to senior. Just change jobs twice and demand a title bump each time… you go from engineer to mid-level, to senior. Other people retire at 60 as a senior engineer. It’s just a dumb title.
Number 2 is the only one that can write effectively on wood. I may not build a lot, but when I have tried to use a mechanical pencil for marking wood, it was a total fail.
Trump/Elon Infatuation Syndrome (TIS)?
No child deserves that. But given who they would have had to grow up with, they may have dodged a bullet of sorts.
Y’all better start learning to garden. The crops are going to be rotting in the fields this year. And no country is going to be interested in shipping any in. Ya know, tarrifs and friendly with russia and such.
While I do think there should be some relief for some people as far as property taxes are concerned… living in a town or city gives a person access to many local government subsided services. Firefighters, and ambulances are some simple ones that everyone uses. Roads as well. And the cost of that does increase over time. Basing a person’s contributions to paying for that based on the value of thier property is just easier for local governments, and more stable. But it doesn’t really corelate with the use of those services. Nor with income or ability to pay.
Life necessities really shouldn’t be taxed at most levels. Food, shelter, water, heat, medical care. Most already aren’t. But housing still is. Investment properties should be taxed of course, but an average primary residence really shouldn’t be.
Hope he distances himself all the way to mars. He should try a ride in the next starship launch.
All very good points. But it also talks about the search being possibly unconstitutional. The would include the manifesto and the gun. That would be significant. All they have is video essentially from what I have heard. That won’t be enough. However I assume they have prints or something from where he stayed that I just haven’t heard about. That would probably be enough to establish he is the one on the videos. But if he was arrested illegally, would the prints they took from him at booking be admissible?
At some point, all of this is going to cost the taxpayers a lot of money in legal fees and settlements.
Meh, that was a pretty weak nazi salute. I care less about that stuff and more about thier actions that affect actual policy and such. Those actions are usually worse anyway.
You give trump too much credit.
I mean part of it was good financial sense. Money saved early has longer to grow. But I don’t think they “needed” the money that bad. Two full time jobs is nuts. And there were plenty more instances where he clearly communicated that work ethic was equal to a persons value. But yeah, he was a good Dad.
Ever wonder how “work ethic” became a trait that defines the quality of an individual? You can probably guess. Religion. Which of course needed people to work hard so they could donate more money to them.
My dad worked two full time jobs for a while to help the family get ahead while we were little. I think spending time with his young children would have been time better spent for everyone. He did stop when we got to school age. And he did spend a lot of time with us. Was a scout master, tball coach, all that. So I know he probably would have rather been with us than working that extra job. But from a young age it was drilled into him that work came first.
Now with younger people less into religion. We see more and more who realize that working hard for someone else doesn’t need to be a defining characterist of a person’s quality.
Hm, I did not mean to imply this specific thing was done with precedent. I did mean to draw attention to the people who let this happen by leaving so many loopholes for trump to take advantage of. Leaving loopholes seems to be standard practice. Like tax law, lots of loopholes for the wealthy.
Not sure if you are agreeing, disagreeing, or just making a disconnected comment.
Both sides are partially right. This bill is a dog and pony show. Federal law trumps (pun intended) state law. So this law is not really enforcable. And the blue gov can always order his guard to defend the state. Even if the administration federalizes them. Nothing really stops him. So the law doesn’t change much. But it does bring the idea into the news. And for the actual nation guardsmen from red states, it will sow doubt as to which laws they are supposed to follow. For the ones in the blue states it will help move some who might reject fighting other US troops into doing so if ordered. So it just moves the needle a little bit if such a thing were to happen. But it won’t. The administration knows some guardsman would refuse orders on both sides. And that would set an example for federal troops to do the same. So it would weaken them. And they have more than enough illegals to to deport already. They don’t need to trade control for more people to deport. Maybe in 3 years it might be a trade they see as valuable if other factors come into play relating to the next election.
Doge just keeps lining up more and more future lawsuit payouts that the government will have to pay when the next president takes office. Every penny saved will cost thousands in lawyers fees and payouts. If not tens or hundreds of thousands.
