It’s sickening that this is a for-profit school siphoning tax money only to abandon the people depending on them. I worry that if the awarded damages aren’t enough or they settle, this lawsuit will just be the cost of doing business and nothing will change. These parents drove across the country to visit their son, not every family can or wants to do the same. Who knows what else is going on behind closed doors.

I think smoking rooms in hotels are still a thing, but they’re certainly less common than they were. My mother and I got stuck in a smoking room despite booking a non-smoking room well in advance and it was awful. Stayed just one night and our clothes smelled like cigarette smoke for the rest of the trip.

This is my rub with Clarence in general. On paper I agree with a very hardline reading of the constitution cause what else is it there for. We’re far too allergic to making constitutional amendments and laws and have built up a house of cards that gets toppled every time the administration changes.
However, practically speaking, there’s too many actual lives depending on supreme court decisions and delegated regulations to wait for congress to do something about it (if they aren’t stalled outright by lobbying and party opposition). If the overturning of such decisions is meant to light a fire under the ass of the legislative branch, it operates much too slowly to protect the vulnerable people who suffer in the interim. Delegation is the only reason we have a (relatively) safe and clean place to live.

I think this is actually a more dangerous mindset. Any animal can be unpredictable, can do something you’ve never seen them do before. Maybe there were signs, but maybe there weren’t. Either way, it’s dangerous to wait for a “sign” before you start to set boundaries on how your pet interacts with any person.
Yes, as much as I love dogs, unfortunately they can be unpredictable even if we’ve had them for years. Whether it’s aggression (possibly around food or toys), prey drive, playing too rough, or just pure accident, they can cause a lot of harm to small bodies. I would not leave any dog unattended when an infant.

I just watched a video of that process, it’s really incredible. I don’t know much about how the skin works, does the dermis just regrow under the epidermis? I imagine it sort of repairs inwards from the edges of the wound using the epidermis as support, is that correct?
