I have done all of those things and more that the creator of that list can’t even imagine. Things that were everyday common but have faded beyond memory, (and aren’t missed at all).

The iPads were used by the 3rd and 4th grade students. And they never left the classrooms and were well supervised during use.
Starting in 5th grade, they were issued Chromebooks. Google Classroom was used for assignments and other communications. And since Mommy and Daddy had to pay for them IF they were damaged, they held up quite well. The IBM Education model is very robust. Not fast, but robust.

By the time I’m forced to wade through your lack of punctuation, misspellings and the autocorrect blunders and the stupid emojis to decipher what you REALLY meant, I already have equated your IQ to be around the range of my old orange tabby cat.
If you send me a text, I will consider it of such low priority that I might get back to you in a week or so.
bluewing@lemm.eeto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•How did a simple phone call become so problematic?0·2 months agoI absolutely detest text messaging or emails. You have a problem? Call me because I can probably solve your issue in one minute of phone call. I have been almost always been subjected to texting sessions that lasted for several hours because the dumbass on the other end lacked the spelling and vocab skills to provide an accurate written description of the problem.
Time is money and even sometimes life threatening unless the fastest method of communication is use. And fastest ain’t an email or text.
Yep. Piss jugs are a thing for truckers. Ain’t got time to stop to pee, you guys all expect your ordered shit to be across country in minutes after the order is placed.
I grew up on a dairy farm and milked cows every day. We never bought “store” milk to drink. It always came from the tank every morning. We also made and ate foods that would cause you urbanites blanch and faint if you only knew, (I miss the home made blood sausage and canned beef my Grandmothers made). It’s not a death sentence like many of you seem to think. But, for commercial store bought milk, it IS imperative that the milk is pasteurized for consumer safety. That milk might be a week or two old before it reaches your refrigerator in the Big City/Suburbs/Gentrified neighborhood.
I doubt if drinking raw milk will become common place amongst magahats. It tastes NOTHING like what they or you are used to. It’s a whole different thing. And the vast majority of you would hate the taste of it and refuse to drink it. And the first time someone gets the shits from drinking it, they will try and sue the dairy they bought the milk from. And that won’t end well.
In Europe they seem to not have the same fear/issues with the sale or consumption of “raw dairy” that we do here in the US. Perhaps they are smarter about such things.

Those “non-existent regulations” are what forced the recall.
Well maybe only half of them are loaded. Have you priced ammo lately? It’s getting more and more costly to fill a high capacity magazine these days. Let alone that many!
I don’t think anyone has ever accused HiPoint of ever manufacturing and marketing anything as a compact firearm. This is the company that will literally sell you a Yeet Cannon…
My question is-- What did you learn from this?

Eh, such products minimize the waste of things that would otherwise be thrown away and lost. Us humans have been processing the scraps and leftovers of our food into other edible products for as long as we can remember - Waste not, Want not.
The problem is the disconnect modern urbanites have from their food and not knowing how it gets made. If you like deli ham eat it! (in moderation as all things should be), it’s not all that different in processing than a hot dog, sausage, or hamburger. Or even cheese…
Yes it is.
When processed, the meat bits, (and yes they are leftover meat bits), are ground into a paste with water added, (nearly all ham you buy has “Water Added” listed on the tag - exception would be something like “country ham” or prosciutto ham), then pumped into a carboy, (the paste is then called babbit), seasonings are then mixed in and then molded by machine into a glorious block 'o ham! To be sold at your local Deli as part of a delicious sandwich for which you happily pay your “hardly earned” monies.
I used to be a Toolmaker long ago and far away. And there is a, and not undeservedly so, stereotype of Toolmakers as cranky old assholes. And the job tends to make us intolerant assholes.
I too had reached a point where I had enough of being angry, cranky, and hateful to everyone and myself every day. So I finally took all that cranky angry hatred and decided to channel it into something more constructive - I became a Medic for the next 15 years. And when that pissed me off enough I decided to teach math in my tiny rural school for 4 years until I retired.
I am a very slow learner…
That’s what I love about mine. Automatic lid raise and lower as you walk in, heated ring and water, (both adjustable temp), air dry, (again heated), and charcoal filtered air filtration to minimize the stench from that drive through burrito.
It’s the posh life. Very nearly the equal to having your own chamberlain.
