Since the incel forums became exclusively male, and trended towards misogyny, the world has come to use the term “incel” to refer to men who are angry at women because they can’t find someone to date or have sex with. Reclaiming the term for the original neutral meaning would be a hopeless cause.

Numbers can be misleading. If you have 100 points and you lose 50% you have 50 points left. If you then gain 50% you don’t go back to your original amount but to 75 points. In other words high percentual gains is not the same as a full recovery. I’m no expert, but I believe that in general the way down is usually much steeper than the way up on the stock market.

This reminds me of Brexit, where a lot of leave voters were farmers who actually had a net-benefit from the subsidies the eu hands out to farmers. Now a big part of the country suffers from bregret, but there is no way to go back in time to change the vote. I’m afraid an anti-Trump message makes as much as a difference to the people in America as bregret does in the UK.

You are right, but in this case the car they just received comes with upkeep costs and no particular benefits. If the US does the effort for getting them back, El Salvador has no real reason to keep them.

Yes, history is written by the victor. But in most cases there isn’t a victor and a loser, there is also a bunch of bystanders. Not just western bystanders, also islamic ones. They will definitely be asking questions and those who might be questioned will not simple say they don’t know. If in fact they wouldn’t known, they would ask these bystanders what has happened. I can’t imagine someone finding out their government killed thousands of people just being okay with that.
