Praise the cameraman.
I hope to see pictures of that event!
As the NYPD scrambled to find the killer, police deployed a swathe of investigators – uniformed and plain clothed – dogs, drones and helicopters in the hunt for the assailant, according to The Times.
In 2023 there were 391 murders in NYC. For the police to deploy that amount of resources for this one murder kinda proves that the police work for the rich.
Agreed. I also can understand the feelings behind this, but it seems to ignore that quite a number of women voted for Trump.
And they wonder why much of the world is against them.
Me: I just want better public transportation.
Feds: Best I can to do is flying taxis.
I’m a big fan of the LAT. They publish some very well written articles. But this move just makes me sick. Just another case of some selfish rich a-hole not helping the world.
That’s my story and I’m st-st-sticking to it.
Yeah, because of this I’ll lego my Eggos.
Really. Give me reliable public transportation instead.
And yet Johnson say’s there’s no way to estimate losses before the new administration is in place…
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said he won’t call Congress back into session early to fast-track emergency funding for hurricane victims, arguing that there’s no rush since “it takes a while to calculate the actual damages.”
Well, we gotta provide tax breaks for the rich somehow. (Is /s really necessary on this one?)

“There’s nothing we can do.” Says the only country with this problem.
Yeah. When will a journalist call him out on this? Maybe ask pointed questions? Ask for clarification? Call out his rambling?
FTFY…
Big Pharma claims lower prices will mean giving up miracle medications executive pay and bonuses.
Trump has “proven to be one of the best debaters in political history…"
What? What a weird statement.
“It might change how they talk about [Israel],” one moderate House Democrat said of their colleagues
So stealing land, committing genocide and syphoning a huge amount of dollars for military support (leaving other programs unfunded), isn’t enough. But a heavy handed influence of our elections gets their attention?
Betteridge’s Law…
“Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.” It is named after Ian Betteridge, a British technology journalist who wrote about it in 2009, although the principle is much older. It is based on the assumption that if the publishers were confident that the answer was yes, they would have presented it as an assertion; by presenting it as a question, they are not accountable for whether it is correct or not. The adage does not apply to questions that are more open-ended than strict yes–no questions.

They seem to think setting him free would be a bad thing.
