Then we’ll sell the farm off to someone who is willing to pay a living wage to people, and not slaves with no other options.
There are websites that buy this stuff, this is just one example, and there are others. You can get a bit of cash without a ton of effort, just pack it up nicely and send it in.

Curious if they’d be able to sanction him as a Vexatious litigant, or if that would go too far in denying him his legal rights.

mipadaitu@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Satire publication The Onion buys Alex Jones' Infowars at auction with help from Sandy Hook familiesEnglish17·5 months agoI hope they have a good use for it. I’d love to see them utilize the name to try to de-radicalize folks.
The Onion seems to have gotten a new life after they were bought, so maybe they’ll go the Cards Against Humanity route and start to push things in a better direction.

Still, it’s very promising, and if it holds up, it’ll eventually be more widespread. At the end of the article it says they’re working on a more generalized approach that could lower the cost and increase availability.

mipadaitu@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•More straight couples are calling each other partner. Here’s whyEnglish6·6 months agoBack in the day it did sound weird. Partner was usually a business relationship, not a romantic one, and it was almost exclusively used by the LGBT crowd.
More gender neutral terms are good, but they’re still going to sound odd to folks who spent 40+ years hearing the terms used in a different way. That’s just how progress goes, older folks eventually will either get used to it, or be the weird relative ignored at holidays.
