    It only makes sense for it to be volunteers. Telling someone they will lose their medical job if they don’t perform an execution would be dumb. I’m more interested in what states it isn’t administered by volunteers.

      We don’t have it in my country so I know very little and didn’t know this, just popped up in my RSS reader today. I just can’t imagine who would want to.

        I’m against the death penalty, but it’s not hard to imagine who would volunteer.

        Even in the EU, where there is a total ban on executions, about half the population favors ending the ban.

        So look around wherever you are, and unfortunately you will soon spot someone willing to volunteer.

        I just can’t imagine who would want to.

        Conservatives salivate over the opportunity to kill. The need to harm others is an innate part of who they are.

        People who would like to see one less murderer in the world. They likely aren’t short on volunteers.
