Sounds like welfare for a select group of people. Rural vaccination welfare queens.
Think of it more as a national security issue.
Don’t you dare mention welfare, they’ll never get the vaccine and then we’re all dealing with people-flavored bird flu.
Instead, we must speak their language and tell them unvaxxed farmers are less manly or something.
That does help.
NOW GET THEM PROTECTIVE GEAR AND MANDATE THEY WEAR IT!
Because even if they refuse to get a vaccine, and apparently if you mandate they get a vaccine you’re worse than the Nazis plus Satan, making people wear protective gear at work is something even Republicans aren’t pushing back on a whole lot.
This is relevant to my interests. Simultaneous infections can be a great opportunity for dangerous hybrids. I have over 30 chickens, ducks and geese. Any time I see a wild bird in the yard get a little nervous because H5N1 is serious. It’s nearly 100% fatal for birds. And 50% for humans.
