I’m sorry, but this is like saying you don’t know who Elvis is in the late 1950s. Of course you won’t know who she is if you refuse to find out who famous musicians are. She’s so popular that her fans literally cause earthquakes just by dancing at the same time.

She was mobbed by so many fans at an airport in Tokyo that she caused flight delays:

Like I said, I’m not a fan. I know what exactly one Taylor Swift song sounds like and it’s only because I was paid to do a parody of it many years ago.

But I’m also not ignorant of global pop culture.

Like I said, this is like saying you don’t know who Elvis is in the 1950s. Your ignorance of one of the most recognizable people on the planet is no one’s fault but yours.

Like I said, I do know who she is… thanks to CNN and their desperate attempts at remain relevant among celebrity worshippers. Now it’s your turn to repeat exactly what you said before!

Ah, so you know more about her than you claimed. Not sure why you lied.

Also, your issue seems to be that you want to nitpick the difference between knowing something and inferring it despite that I never said I knew it for a fact.

I’m talking with the person who said this:

The only reason I know who she is is because the BBC and CNN think any fart she makes constitutes news.

Now it turns out that you have listened to her songs and people in your circle are fans.

                    Otherwise known as lying.
