President Donald Trump has signed an order to impose stiff tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada and China, fulfilling a campaign promise but raising the prospect of increase prices for American consumers.

It was just signed. “10% on all imports from China and 25% on imports from Mexico and Canada — America’s largest trading partners — except for a 10% rate on Canadian oil.”

    Reminder that while these tariffs are the big news item, focus extremely hard on what isn’t being today. Work within your communities and harass the fuck out of your politicians, Republican AND Democrat. Maintenance will be the word for at least two years.

      By all means, we must do our best in the next election so we can minimize the damage.

      That being said… midterm elections don’t mean shit when the executive oversteps into territory only the legislature is supposed to have control over. How does the President have such wide control over government spending when that’s supposed to be Congress’s constitutional responsibility?

      We’re rapidly approaching the complete nullification of the legislature at this point. How long until Palpatine abolishes the Senate?
