Summary
Trump’s trade wars and tariffs are hitting his own voters the hardest, with retaliatory levies from China, Canada, and Europe targeting industries in Trump-supporting states.
A New York Times analysis found that nearly 8 million Americans, mostly Trump voters, work in affected sectors like farming, steel, and manufacturing.
While some remain loyal, others are voicing frustration over job losses and economic strain. States like Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Indiana are particularly vulnerable.
Cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security could further impact Trump’s base.

Sometimes people vote in such a way because of their strong convictions that in the end it’s for the better. Not sure these people knew what they were voting for though.
I’m fine with that. They can sacrifice themselves to Moloch if that’s what floats their boat. Better with them out of this world than in, frankly. What I’m not fine with is them dragging the rest of us into it.
