Thousands of private messages reveal young GOP leaders joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape.
Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n–ga” and “n–guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the same organization, wrote in a message sent in June that “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”
Once again, it is not hyperbole to say that Republicans want to kill you.
Once again, if you are physically and mentally able, you should be arming yourself to the best of your ability for the day when they are emboldened to act out their violent delusions en masse. And that day may come sooner than you think, as it has with every fascist milestone thus far.

Sad thing is: this doesnt mean shit. They dont even need to feel bad. This is the new normal and every new incident with no consequences normalizes it further.

It really bothers me that Politico doesn’t make it clear whether the censoring was present in the chat, or something they added
the members of the chat slung around an array of slurs — which POLITICO is republishing to show how they spoke. Epithets like “f----t,” “retarded” and “n–ga” appeared more than 251 times combined.
Really seems to imply the people in the chat self-censored, and at no point did Politico state they were the ones censoring. The inconsistent censorship also means either the group was self-censoring, or Politico is doing a poor job (“r—d” is censored, but “rape” was repeatedly not censored)
And journalist still won’t call the Republicans a racist party.
Imagine what the old GOP leaders were saying when they were young. Bet you it’s a lot like this.
