    This genuinely makes me angry

Trump doesn’t give a fuck about fraud or cybercrime. I have submitted so many reports, with detailed investigations and evidence, that have been ignored

Both as a professional with large cimoanies and as an individual. The only time the SEC or FBI has given a flying fuck is when the victim is a large corporation

Grandma defrauded of her life savings? Absolutely nothing

Attacker gets $50,000 frim a mega corp? Oh, suddenly there are resources

Biggest kicker for me: Month ago I tried submitting an investigation to the SEC and they took down their submission portal for “indefinite maintenance”

It’s almost certainly so connected people/comoanies can get lucrative contracts. I see no other reason for this

SOP for a long time is private companies doing 99% of the operation, then a government employee presses the button to actually initiate the offensive action. There is no functional need for a change

Yeah because historically corporations have shown themselves to be super reluctant to use force, especially not when explicitly encouraged to by the government…

Participating companies would have to sign contracts with the Justice Department or Department of Homeland Security to “undergo rigorous vetting.”

Rigorous vetting is a euphemism for bribing Trump and flattering him with praise.

One thing that bothers me here at Lemmy is that a lot of the news stories I feel are important, are first carried at [email protected], whose about page makes Russian and Lenin inferences. So, if we’re Americans resonating with a message such as not funding shock gloves for ICE, boom, there’s a linkage to an apparent Russia and Lenin page. Do we then become targets of private-sector corporate attack? Simply because we’re against Night Watches and Slave Patrols?
