  • Greedflation worked because the consumer could absorb price increases to a certain extent after Covid.

While greedflation will be a factor this time around. I don’t think it will be as prominent as it was post covid. The consumer is tapped out and is just not buying anymore. People are not going to buy electronics at 60% or higher prices. They will go cheap or just do without.

Trump is either using the threat of tariffs as a negotiating tactic to get something out of our trade partners or Trump will repeat history and be like Hoover. We’ll have a stock market drop, rampant stagflation and a Recession / Depression on his watch.

  • I’m sorry, my “give a fuck” stopped working just after the election results came in.

Trump promised to deport illegals and even “denaturalize” certain citizens. He wants to deport 20 million illegal immagrants separate family and put the in camps while awaiting deportation. None of this was a secret, they fucking bragged about it.

Trump gained 14 points nationally with Hispanics. I hope he goes balls to the fucking wall and drops the hammer. May the people get exactly what they voted for.

Meanwhile, I’m going to do the best to make sure me and mine are taken care of. Stock up on toilet paper, N95 masks, freeze dried food and bullets. It’s gonna be lit!🔥

  • I think context is key here. If you tell a Jewish joke at a Bar Mitzvah or comedy club it comes across entirely differently than if you tell it at a Skin Head or Proud Boys rally.

He told the this joke at a Trump rally where accusations of racism and facism abound. He was probably trying to be ironic but it just comes off far more serious than just a joke.

Fundamentally a rally should bring people together. The Trump team knew what they were getting when they hired this guy. Whatever this comedians intentions were, the Trump team is ultimately responsible for their message and to refuse to have Trump repudiate him publicly and immediately peaks volumes.

  • His campaign was primarily funded by big money Trump supporters to do just what Jill Steins run in 2016 did to Hillary. He was supposed to peel off dissatisfied left wing or Democrat supporters who would never vote Republican. It only takes a few percentage points to swing the election in a few crucial states to win.

In the end his stances on vaccines, conspiracy theories and general crazy antics ended up peeling off more Trump supporters. He may have been left leaning in the past but don’t imagine for a second he didn’t sell out to the Right wing.

If you want anymore proof just look at the timing of his announcement. He announced he was pulling out of the race at the tail end of the Democratic convention. By doing this is diverting news media attention away from Harris’s acceptance of the nomination.

Not that Democrats do similar things. Biden announced he was dropping out at the tail end of the Republican convention and completely stole any press coverage from Trump and moved the narrative to Harris.

It’s just politics in a two party winner take all system.
