The NYPD should have been broken up when they tried to kill Frank Serpico, or we could go back about a hundred years and they should have been broken up when the Tamany Hall corruption machine infiltrated the NYPD thoroughly.

I’m from NYC, I’ve got a lot of family in the NYPD and DoC, and the NYPD is more than a hundred years past due to be broken up. They should separate the department into county>borough>city>village>town departments, so they can all watch and investigate each other until acceptable levels of corruption have been achieved. (acceptable levels are usually a very low percentages of corruption, we’ll never completely eliminate it, so the goal is to get it as low as we can.)

As a Florida resident there’s two things everyone should know about ballot measures here, the first thing is that most things needs a 60% super majority to pass, the second thing is, the Florida GOP has consistently undermined and subverted most ballot measures they don’t agree with.

So absolutely please vote for this measure, but be ready for disappointment, and be ready to fight the state government to make these measures stick once they voted for.

Oh definitely a possibility, and I’m not sure how much you know about Jamaican culture, but they are not exactly fond of gay folks down there, some of their stances on homosexuality tend to be similar to Uganda’s stances on homosexuality. One of Jamaica’s most internationally recognized dancehall reggae artists, Beanie Man, was banned from entering the UK under hate crime laws because of his words, lyrics, and deeds towards gays, he’s since apologized in 2010, but still, not a good place to be gay.
