In Cluj-Napoca, Romania, a so-called “health ticket” was introduced that allowed individuals to use public transportation for free by completing 20 squats. However, the organizers only implemented it in one city for a limited time. As of this writing, it’s unknown if the program will resume at a future date.

It’s too bad it was only kind of a social experiment vs a real government-sponsored health campaign that was still ongoing. I think it’s a pretty great idea. However, I can also see it getting some negative backlash if the government funded it since those with certain disabilities wouldn’t be able to utilize it. I think it’d be easy enough to incorporate a variety of healthy exercises that are more accessible to get around that aspect, though.

Tidal is owned by Square (the mobile payment app/company), and I think Jack Dorsey (Twitter founder) owns that. So, probably safe to say it’s already pretty corporate.

Humans are mostly sentient biological machines at the end of the day, hard wired for an instinctual need to reproduce. Without children, everything falls apart. South Korea, Japan, China, Germany, US, etc etc all have declining birth rates. Fortunately for many Western countries, we’ve had immigrants to provide a buffer against the inverted age demographic pyramid crisis. South Korea, on the other hand, is looking at essentially a full economic collapse by 2060 because their birth rates have continually declined for so long and right now is at 0.76.

So tell me, when millions of old people are dying from neglect and no access to healthcare, food, etc. from lack of workers in 2070, will you be sitting there with such a mighty, holier than thou attitude? Probably, because you likely just have an edgy hot take that humans are garbage and deserve to go extinct. Such deep moral philosophy, you should teach in college.

It can be unhealthy. But, it truly depends on the people and their reasons for doing it. You can’t just blanket apply statements to people.

Unfortunately, they’re one of our major trading partners, so their leaders don’t want to just throw their hands up if they can help it since they owe it to their own citizens to try to make their economic lives less shitty. Just sucks that the US is being led by an insane, incompetent fascist cult.

I didn’t say censorship. They could’ve regulated social media as actual Media outlets, which puts them on the hook for libel lawsuits if blatantly fake disinformation is advertised on their platforms. In other words, they have to follow the same rules as traditional media outlets.

They’re not blameless. They’re not entirely to blame, but they could’ve regulated social media to dampen disinformation when they had the chance.

No other candidate in recent US history that I can recall has been offering million dollar lotteries for voting. He’s barely skirting the law, since he isn’t paying people to actually vote. However, the tactic and intent is blatantly transparent.

Hate to break it to you, but our police have been militarized with military gear for decades. During the massive George Floyd protests in 2020, the police used all of those weapons against crowds (except microwave, but they definitely used some type of sonic/sound crowd control weapons).

Yeah, I legitimately don’t understand it. I used to like his show back around 2016-2017sh time frame. Back then, he usually just had well known comedians on and shot the shit and it was funny. Hell, he’d even have cool scientists on discussing new research they were doing that he found interesting. He’d have the occasional fringe topic, e.g. UFOs, conspiracies, etc., but it was always done in an entertaining way and wasn’t overly political.

I don’t know what the hell happened, but around 2019/2020 he just went way to the far right and became a giant piece of shit. I haven’t listened to his garbage show in years.

And yet Gen Z turned out for… Trump? He’ll surely help the economy and enable a new era of magically plentiful high paying, stable jobs.
