Honestly, good. Jon Stewart would have been a target regardless of what happened with Trump.
Everyone is saying it’d be unsafe for tDS crew to be there, which may not be false.
But also what jokes can you tell at this point? It’s kind of a no win situation to tell some jokey news about the guy who almost got assassinated because then you are the “liberal media who doesn’t care” or whatever BS they’ll spin on you. Even if you turn around and show footage of Trump joking about Pelosi’s husband getting assaulted, it won’t matter to the people it needs to matter to because they aren’t watching tDS anyway. They’ll hear what trump’s group says and that’s it.
I really hope it’s just because they didn’t have time to rewrite the jokes ;-)
Trump survived with only a small scratch. I feel like someone can say a joke or two since he is fine.
For sure… I was trying to imply that they had a bunch of jokes specifically about him getting shot at, which might now be considered in poor taste.
