Checked if I got the vaccine when I was a child, yesterday. I was vaccinated.

Get your vaccines if you can folks, not everyone can get it. Herd immunity is important for those who can’t or have parents that are stupid (sorry) enough not to let their child get it.

Edit: Clarified that I was vaccinated already.

You can also check immunity if you get a blood test. As we age, some people will have less immunity. One of thesny reasons herd immunity is so important.

“Fun” story, I got my MMR 3x as a kid and another 3x as an adult because my antibody titers were and remain undetectable (i’m not immunocompromised on any level). With the current events I really hope my T-cells are ready for the heavy lifting 😅

Of course, according to RFK Genius, I’d need lower doses not higher because “race”.

    /facepalm

You know, back in the early days of the Internet, before it allowed commercial content, and before the Eternal September, I was excited at the notion of the democratization of information, and it being a multi-way conversation, not just top-down.

Say what you will about the days of having a few corporations gatekeeping virtually all info, at least back in those days I didn’t see them spreading anti-vaccine horseshit.

Its crazy how a pandemic happens every time Trump is in office. Like a cosmic warning sign.

Afghanistan I can understand. America, the home of the antivaxx idiots, too. But Europe? There is a small community of antivaxxers here, who took this crazy idea from the US antivaxxers, but with far, far less idiots than the US has. Faith-based exceptions to mandatory vaccinations are not a thing in Europe, which massively curbs this idiocity from spreading. While this does not prevent minor outbreaks, this is much smaller of a problem than in the US.
