I mean. Nothing about his status as a veteran matters to these fascists. He volunteered to join the army, the gov doesn’t consider him anything more than a number already. Isn’t this the same gov that’s rescinding promises to Afghan folks who helped during our invasion?

Why would membership in one preclude membership in the other? It’s an earnest question, I don’t know anything about either organization, but didn’t find anything relevant in their Wikipedia pages

          I responded to Profthadbach

Essentially there is no real reason you can’t, it’s just kind of redundant.

I wasn’t trying to be a jerk either, just not sure why.

Both require dues and both provide the same services.

(One is for service members who fought in a foreign war, the other is for service members who didn’t fight in foreign wars.

Typically VFW is for veterans who fought and American Legion is for service members who didn’t fight.

I guess there is no real reason why you can’t join both, but it’s like joining two car wash clubs.

The arrest unfolded on July 10 when federal immigration officers carried out large-scale raids at two Glass House marijuana farms in Carpinteria and Camarillo and arrested over 300 people – part of an ongoing trend of immigration enforcement at worksites like farms and construction sites that have struck fear into immigrant communities.

Protesters showed up. He was arrested trying to get to work.
