This is a good thing. His motivation may be more sinister. It could create a situation where non medical treatments can be advertised without restriction and genuine medicines can’t. It needs to be applied to all treatments, even unregulated ones.

In the UK pedestrian car collisions are falling, despite increased amounts of cars and distances walked. In the US pedestrian collisions are at high.

I don’t think it’s the safety features in cars that matter here. Similar features are going to be present in the UK as the US. People in the US are buying bigger and bigger trucks. They also have less walkable cities (this could also improve in the UK). They should be taxing larger vehicles more. Get them off the road, they have larger blind spots and greater injury on impact.

Before all phones were phablets, a tablet was a good middle ground between phone and laptop. Especially for casual browsing and media not having a keyboard in the way and the better battery life was a real benefit to sofa computing.

Now we are seeing phones encroach on 7 inches, what would have been a small tablet a decade ago their use case has dwindled. Now they are a laptop alternatives or child minders.

On macbooks Safari is excellent for battery life. Absolutely blows every other browser out the water. If the same optimisation has been done on mobile, then people will go back for that alone. Safari has less add-ons and a less intuitive interface (if your not accustomed to Mac) but the longer battery life makes up for the inadequacy.

Social media makes it easier for the perpetrators, to target vulnerable people.

It also reduces opportunities for family/teachers/community to intervene. If someone saw you talking with suspicious characters, they are more likely to bring that up with parents. Social media can isolate all interactions to be between the victim and groomer.

Social media platforms also give the perpetrators anonymity. A groomer can pose as someone else that gives them access to more victims. They can also simultaneously target more victims at once and over a broader area.

It is not right to say social media is not a fault. It’s not right to say it was a problem before so it doesn’t matter anymore. This attitude only benefits the criminals.

Social media companies are explicitly and knowingly targeting children to generate ad revenue. They know these children aren’t using the platform safely and they know they are circumventing it’s age restriction features. They don’t care about the consequences, only the revenue they can generate.

The owner never locked the car. You can’t blame the company for that.

It’s perfectly valid for an unlocked car to not have it’s immobilizer switch on. The cars unlocked, it fair to assume the key holder wanted it to be accessible.
