She’s probably just looking past the camera. It’s supposed to give better photographic head shots.
The duration is different depending on where you view it. I will be in an area where totality will last 4 minutes and 20 seconds so I have a different plan of action.
I think many of us have that plan of action regardless of the duration.

I hope the bugs are active that time of year where you’re viewing the eclipse, you’ll be in for an extra treat that folks in Cleveland may not hear.
In fact, I’d say if you live south of St Louis maybe don’t play Total Eclipse of the Heart, or you won’t hear the bugs and frogs start up.
