I like to imagine what the reaction of people in 1960 would be if this is what actually made it to the paper.
I’m guessing Ernie would be out of a job and a few presses would get burnt down.

I had no idea Nancy had a last name (Ritz).
It does have an interesting history and Bushmiller was an interesting person. If it appeals to you, Zippy the Pinhead creator Bill Griffith did a graphic novel biography of Bushmiller last year. I liked it.
