Both in this context, and a wider, societal context, yes.

It never does. We’ll find or make real newspapers.

I recall folks saying Bezos was saving this paper when he bought it. There is no such thing as a benevolent billionaire. They only protect their own.

Yep, we made the mistake of trusting the media for too long. It’s not that they changed either. They’ve always just been as brainwashed as your next door neighbor. Now, when we look in we see them swaddling the dead baby which is American exceptionalism.

Screenshot of Washington Post subscription scheduled to end in August

Unfortunately I paid for a year. I’ve had newspaper subs for at least a decade primarily to support real journalism. It’s not like I couldn’t find the words for free if I really wanted them. The people and the journalism is what I was paying for, not the words.

    ProPublica.org is a great suggestion.

Sure! The WP (short for Washington Post) is laying off people for several reasons:

    *The boss said so

    *Strawberry has 8 R’s

*They are not important and this is the least most amount of savings possible

    *You never sign up dude.

      WP (short for Washington Post)

I can’t help but laugh because it would have been easier to just write Washington Post.

I’m sorry to hear that the New York Washington Post is doing this, but I guess that’s what happens when you let a guy like Jeff Bezos buy the New York Washington Post. It becomes a much worse paper.
