Like Trump is the operative wording. Problem is that if a criminal conviction prohibits one from running for political office, the fascist parties worldwide will absolutely use that requirement to automatically disqualify all their opponents by charging them with absolute bullshit crimes, that in many functional democracies are still crimes and most people don’t know those laws even exist. No one knows how to legally define “like Trump,” similarly to the fact that there is no clade of “fish.”

Huh, I wonder why they’re so concerned about anti-corruption laws and their enforcement

She was also sentenced to 4 years in prison (2 suspended) and a 100k€ fine.

But she will (already has?) appeal this ruling. The ineligibity, however, was ruled to be immediate, even while the trail is awaiting appeal.

Didn’t they invent a machine that gives the closest shaves and haircuts you’ve ever seen? So close you will never need another again?

Maybe the megalomaniac asswipe will write an executive order directing the French to pardon her.

This is rather tame considering how France has historically handled its corrupt leaders and authoritarians.
