Edit: Read the article. I didn’t think I’d ever agree with Hawley. Also… Yep. Greed.
Because we’re stupidly paying middleman insurance companies before we pay healthcare companies. Oh also because those two industries are in cahoots to maximize profits at the expense of our health. Didn’t read the article but seems like common sense.
Because it helps our GDP which makes us feel like a rich country.
Not unlike buying a super expensive car while your kids go hungry.
