Early on, I told them I was only going to do 9-5. Management was shocked that I actually kept that schdule. Unlimited vacation but no one used it…except me.
It didn’t matter in the end. The entire company went bankrupt when the 2 founders committed bank fraud (they are now in jail). It didnt matter how much we worked, if the people in charge are dumb. I still got paid just as much as everyone else in the end, except I got to see my family/friends for that span of time.
Exactly. Like how most HR folks will tell you that statistically companies with unlimited PTO, people use less. Those studies are incredibly flawed, as they are using data to support a preexisting conclusion. It always starts at the top. If you don’t have a culture of working to live then the numbers will never show you the opposite.
