This is so freaking real. Some old folks seem to want that kids just stay still in silence like a furniture when they’re bored. No playing outside cuz “is annoying and dangerous”, not playing with their phones cuz “is unhealthy and dangerous”.

What the hell should they do then?!

I remember quite a few adults telling me that children should be seen, not heard when I was little. It was popular and sucked.

My ex step mom (may she rest in piss) favorite saying. She said that shit all the time.

Few others I don’t hate people, I hate their actions. (She had a lot of hate)

Actions Speak Louder then Words (only good saying I took from her)

She would say these things at least once a day. But always hated the seen but not heard one. Because I was an active kid and couldn’t be ignored.

So there was this…what do you call it, lady who was very annoyed at any noise ever. Once she pulled a kitchen knife at us. Well well would you know that all parents and grandmas pulled legal action against that.

So this reminds me of when I was taking my CCW class and going over hypotheticals and legal ramifications.

One scenario was you see a kid opening your fridge would you shoot the kid. Now there was a church group there that was also taking the class with us and a few of them raised their hands and one was called.

    His answer was yes.

My group I was with all looked at each other and went WTF and just shook our heads, raised our hands and went of freaking course not because morally it would be soooo wrong even if it was legally okay.

I’m from Texas and can count the number of responsible gun owners with one hand. I understand why we need to be armed; still there are a lot of people that shouldn’t. Your story reminds of that shooting that happened at a church that happen to have the good guy with a gun tm. There was some talk about allowing some people to be armed at the church I was going to with my parents at the time. Some members and the pastor went to some event with a lawyer talking about some stuff around it and I joined out of curiosity. The overall meeting was pretty mehh, but there was a nice tangent about how much you can drink and still have your gun and ammo. Some cop that was in attendance tried to call them stupid, but they pushed back that its okay if you only drink such percent drink per hour or remove the receiver. Not a great look for the cream of the crop.

I did this a lot as a kid. One time I went too far and my neighbor threw me up on a fence. He told me if I ever did it again, he would whip me with a belt.

Ding Dong ditch was knocking or ringing the doorbell and hauling ass away. These dipshits were beating and kicking on the door in a state where you can legally shoot through the door. Agree or disagree with that but if you live there you shouldn’t be so stupid.
